About Me
Margaret McLaurin is the founder of The LymphatiQ, a wellness practice dedicated to helping people feel lighter, heal deeper, and live longer through therapeutic bodywork, lymphatic care, and holistic wellness.

Margaret's Story

Before beginning her career in wellness, Margaret proudly served four and a half years in the United States Navy and later continued serving in the military reserve. She then spent ten years working as a police officer for the City of Charleston and the City of Columbia. After years of serving others in high-stress environments, she realized her heart was leading her toward a different kind of care — one centered on healing, comfort, and helping people feel their best.
That journey led her to massage therapy nearly 26 years ago, and she has loved caring for people ever since.
Over the years, Margaret has worked in some of the Charleston area’s top spas, wellness clinics, and chiropractic offices. She has also spent many years teaching massage and skincare therapy at local massage schools and technical colleges, serving as an instructor, clinic supervisor, and Director of Massage Therapy. These experiences helped shape the thoughtful, professional, and welcoming care she brings to every client experience today.
Margaret completed her massage therapy training at the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy (now the Southeastern Institute). She later continued her education at Trident Technical College, becoming licensed in skincare therapy and nail technology. She remains passionate about continuing education and learning new ways to better serve her clients.
Through The LymphatiQ, Margaret combines therapeutic care with a calming, spa-like experience designed to help clients relax, restore, and reconnect with their well-being. Whether someone is seeking relief from stress, post-surgical support, pain management, or simply time to care for themselves, her goal is for every client to feel genuinely cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Margaret believes the body was designed to heal, and that intentional therapeutic touch, lymphatic support, and compassionate care can help restore balance, physical comfort, and overall well-being.
Outside of work, Margaret enjoys studying the Bible, learning about natural health, herbs, plants, and the lymphatic system, and listening to audiobooks and Christian music. She especially treasures spending time with her husband, daughter, granddaughter, close friends, and the many wonderful people she has the privilege of meeting through her work.
